Now, let’s move onto some useful Japanese vegan and vegetarian phrases.

But, how do you say: I am vegan in Japanese? Or, I am vegetarian in Japanese?

Simple! Just add “watashi wa” before either of the words. “Watashi” means “I” and “wa” is a topic marker. Then say the word – vegan or vegetarian, and say “desu” after.

  • I am vegan.
  • 私はビーガンです。
  • Watashi wa biigan desu.
