Cute Korean questions and phrases!? Welcome to Part 8 of my conversational phrases! Here are must-know phrases you need to know. For K-dramas. For K-pop. And for just being cute!

Write them down on flashcards, review and say them out loud. Speaking Korean is easy when you have set phrases that you can use anytime. Here we go with the cute phrases!

Tip: Read the English versions and practice saying them quickly. Once they’re in your head, say them out at the next occasion without stopping to think.

1. Would you like to go out on a date with me?

저랑 데이트 하실래요?
Jeorang deiteu hashillaeyo?

This as cute as it is important for life! You’ll need to go out on dates. You’ll need to marry! You’ll need to have kids to keep your genetics going. You might say, this is a life-saving cute phrase.

2. I would like to spend more time with you.

저는 당신과 시간을 더 보내고 싶어요.
Jeoneun dangshin-gwa shigan-eul deo bonaego shipeoyo.

Aww. Now tell me, what textbook will teach you this. Spend more time with them! Remember this phrase. How? Write it down and repeat it like 20x in a student session. Not hard.

3. You look great!

멋지시네요!
Meotji-shineyo!

Compliments are important to know. You use them in English. You WILL need them for Korean… if you want to use the language to it’s FULL potential. So it’s only natural to include this here.

4. You are so sweet.

정말 친절하시군요.
Jeongmal chincheol-hashigunyo.

Usable for friends, and more so, couples.

5. I want to be with you.

저는 당신과 함께하고 싶어요.
Jeoneun dangshingwa hamkkehago shipeoyo.

Noticing a lot of romantic phrases in this one, right? Well be sure to check the other article – Korean love phrases for valentines.

6. You are the woman of my dreams.

당신은 제가 꿈꾸던 여자에요.
Dangshineun jega kkumkkudeon yeoja-eyo.

Cute and romantic at the same time. Great to know for couples, relationships and overall hitting on girls. Who doesn’t want to be the person of your dreams!? Well, in a non-creepy way, of course.

7. You are the man of my dreams.

당신은 제가 꿈꾸던 남자에요.
Dangshineun jega kkumkkudeon namja-eyo.

And this is the version for the opposite gender. Any guy would enjoy hearing this! The more ego boosting compliments, the better!

8. Don’t leave

떠나지마
Ddeo na ji ma

Aw. This is cute. And actually a bit sad, depending on the context.

9. I’m confused

헷갈려요
Hed kal lyeo yo

This phrase proves to be very useful around Koreans when they start talking really quickly and you’re just like -jaw drop- So perhaps if you tell them you’re confused, they might take pity on you and speak more slowly. And it’s cute because you’re confused!

10. Sorry, I’m not sure.

Jal mo leu ged sseo yo
잘 모르겠어요

You know else is cute? When you’re not sure! You don’t know something! First of all, this is a great conversational phrase to know – because no-one is ever sure – honestly, we’re all pretending. Second of all, it’s honest! Use this answer when you just don’t know.
