5+ Korean Flashcards for Beginners (Downloadable PDF & Physical)

Welcome to Linguajunkie.

Here, you will find a collection of Korean Flashcards for beginners.

Flashcards for Hangul, for words, and much more.

Printable flashcards, physical flashcards, whatever you need.

Though remember, I can’t exactly give you physical Korean flashcards via a website 😉 but I will point you to places. So, take a look below.

1. Visual Flashcards

At KoreanClass101, you can get Visual Flashcards if you sign up as a member. Note: KoreanClass101 is a popular Korean learning program.

Visual Flashcards teaches you a whopping 1500 Korean words through vocabulary flashcards with pictures on them.

How to use these Korean flashcards:

  1. Download the PDFs.
  2. Print them out.
  3. Cut out the cards.
  4. Review through them.
  5. Stick the cards on the objects they represent (for example, 냉장고, the word for “refrigerator” goes on the fridge.)

2. Hangul Flashcards

If you want to learn the Korean alphabet, then this set of Korean flashcards is for you. You’ll master all the basic characters of Hangul. This is in PDF form so you can print it and use it as physical flashcards.

3. Physical Korean Flashcards

In this digital age, some may say that actual physical flashcards belong in the past.

But I disagree.

There’s a good reason why despite all the tools we have, people aren’t walking around 100% fluent.

Physical study material is shown to be better because you can interact with it instead of seeing it on your phone. There’s also science pointing to learning better due to using your hands as you play with flashcards.

If you’re looking for actual physical flashcards, I can recommend a few:

4. Your First 120+ Korean Words

This collection of Korean vocabulary flashcards teaches you the 120+ most common words. It’s perfect for brand new beginners that don’t know much and want to start boosting their vocab. So, this isn’t exactly for experienced learners.

5. Korean Particles PDF Flashcards

Want to make your own sentences in Korean?

You’ll need to master Korean flashcards.

So, this PDF of printable flashcards helps you master the 12 basic particles that beginners need to know. There are more particles but these are the basic 12 that you’ll encounter most often and will need.

  • Just be sure to follow the printing instructions inside so that you print out the front and back of each card correctly.

6. Flashcard Apps

Of course, it’s also worth mentioning apps and programs that use flashcards.

For example, KoreanClass101 has spaced repetition flashcards in their system.

There’s also Anki, an open source where you can use others’ flashcard decks or create your own.

I know for a fact there are way more but the above are some of the better choices — Anki is free for example.

7. Korean Phrase Pictures (Like Flashards)

You can also learn Korean with pictures.

These work just like flashcards… if you save them to your phone and swipe through them.

What kind of pictures? Well, on KoreanClass, you can get over 190+ infographics with many phrases in one image. So, you’ll learn a lot of Korean phrases just by swiping around and looking at the pics — way more productive than looking at pics on Instagram.

I’ll be updating this list of Korean Flashcards as well.

Mostly with the stuff I create.

So, if you’re looking for flashcards, leave a comment which ones.

And if you want a program to learn Korean with… I recommend KoreanClass101. Mostly because you’re not just learning words and phrases… but via real conversations between real native speakers. With conversation-based lessons that you can listen to… and then get everything explained.
