Looking for cute Korean words and phrases!? Welcome to Part 7 of my conversational phrases! Here are must-know phrases you need to know – to be cute, for dramas, or for your boyfriend/girlfriend.

Because it’s better to be with someone than alone! This is the perfect phrase for you. Tell them to stay with you and spend more time. What’s more adorable than that!?

2. Your make-up looks nice.

  • hwa-jang-jal-ba-jut-dah
  • 화장 잘 받았다

Great compliment for a girl! Girls put in a lot of effort into their make-up and looks. And us guys don’t  care about the details. Use this cute phrase and she’ll love it. You’re paying attention to details.

3. Come closer.
  • deo gakka-i wayo
  • 더 가까이 와요

Why else would you ask them to come closer? Definitely not to get a better look at your pimple. Good phrase to use when you want someone… to be a little closer… to you!

4. I love you to death.
  • jugeul mankeum saranghae
  • 죽을 만큼 사랑해

Sometimes “I love you” isn’t enough. Sometimes you love them so much that you want to squeeze them… to death. This is a cute Korean phrase border-lining on psychopathy. But still cute.

5. Stay still, don’t move
  • ka man isseo
  • 가만 있어

This isn’t meant for robberies. Unless you’re stealing their heart, you smooth criminal. This when you want them to stop moving so you can move in for a kiss! Very popular phrase in romantic K-dramas. Now, stay still… stop moving! You’re only making this harder!

6. I like you.
  • 당신을 좋아해요.
  • Dangshin-eul johahaeyo.

You want some cute romance, right? Then this is an incredibly important Korean phrase to know. You can’t tell someone you love them just yet. Liking is the first step. Definitely memorize this and say it again and again.

7. I like you a lot.
  • 당신을 많이 좋아해요.
  • Dangshin-eul manhi johahaeyo.

Maybe saying “I like you” in Korean wasn’t enough. Maybe you feel more for them. And that’s the great thing about language – there are a million ways to say and emphasize things.

8. I like you very much.
  • 당신을 아주 많이 좋아해요.
  • Dangshin-eul aju manhi johahaeyo.

A lot isn’t enough? How about very much? Again, whatever feels more natural for you. And besides, the more Korean variations you know of a phrase, the better you are. That’s one important element of fluency – having a wide range of expression.

9. I love you more than anything.
  • 당신을 그 어떤 것보다도 더 사랑해요.
  • Dangshin-eul geu eotteon geot bodado deo saranghaeyo.

Even more than death!? Well, what did you expect, this is a cute phrase article after all. You absolutely can’t be cute without knowing how to express your feelings.

10. Everything alright?
  • 별일 없지?
  • Byeolil eobji?

Alright, love aside, being cute means you also care. So, this is a good phrase to know. Ask them if everything is alright. Are they OK? Try to remember this one too!
